This year started off with a beautiful New Year’s Eve wedding celebration in North Dakota. It was a bit brisk, but beautiful.
Liz and I met through unfortunate circumstances. Glasser Images was a North Dakota based wedding photography and videography company. Sadly, there was a crazy huge situation that occurred…. Glasser closed with no notice to their employees, contractors, OR couples. That left so many people in a bind.
For Liz and Steven, it left them without a videographer less than six months out from their New Year’s Eve wedding. Luckily, I had no other weddings booked for their date, and I had been dying to do a NYE themed wedding! We talked over the phone some and then quickly made it official.
A New Year’s Eve dream: Liz and Steven’s North Dakota wedding was absolutely beautiful. It was a frigid -30 degrees out, but that didn’t stop the fun. There were so many little moments that held so much meaning.
When it came to the day of the wedding, Liz and Steven had additional hardships. Unfortunately, Liz’s dad ended up in the hospital the week of the big day. The dream of having her dad walk her down the aisle went out the window, so Liz’s mom stepped in. However, regardless of his condition in the hospital, dad was still very present at the wedding. If you take a look through the wedding highlight video I put together, you will see a young man with a phone. Liz’s relative was Facetiming dad in the hospital so he could still watch the wedding!
Despite the little hiccups throughout the planning process, and a very brisk wintery day, Liz and Steven shared a beautiful day together. I look forward to the next time I get to go up to North Dakota, so we can catch up!
